Some bikes I have noticed recently:
This unidentified classic was seen in Belmont – the owner also has a recumbent bicycle. This is his “leave anywhere” bike. He says when he parks it at garage sales people offer to buy it from him !
I’m not a big fan of this sort of thing, as it seems a waste of a bike to me, but it is eye-catching I suppose – seen in Newtown.
Also in Newtown, a pair of useful looking transport bicycles.
And this one, heavily laden seems to have a story to tell …
I have been keeping an eye out for Ricardos lately – this one in King St., Newtown.
And another fine Australian brand – Malvern Star ( at rear ).
There are plenty of fixed gear bikes in Sydney, this nice looking one seen in George St. has a “flip-flop” style reversible rear fixed/free wheel.
a new recyclist 
There are some nice bikes there, the first looks like a Speedwell. Interesting to see the Bike as Art piece in Newtown. Loving all the shots of Newtown too!
