  1. Love your Dahon, it’s just the same as mine. Unfortunately not everyone feels the love and my bike was kicked and had the rear mudguard destroyed at the station. I’m desperate to find a new one, any thoughts where I could go?

    • Hi Patrick,
Yes, there are some ‘wastes of space’ out there. Unfortunately I have no idea about parts for it other than the usual online sites and patience … best of luck with it.

  2. Hi, love your work. I have the same (or similar) model Dahon. Mine is in great nick for its age but has loose headset. I was wondering what tools you used to service your headset?

    • HI Phil,

If you click on the word “Dahon” on the sidebar of the blog it will take you to all my Dahon posts. If you go to “Hello Dahon #3 ” you’ll see a photo of the disassembled steering assembly.
I used a hammer and punch ( gently tapping ) to remove the steering column locknut, then a C-spanner to disassemble the headset itself. Put some penetrating agent on it first.

      Cheers, peter.

  3. Thanks Peter for your quick reply. I got by without the c-spanner. Everything seems to be tight without binding at the moment. I’ll have to invest in a c-spanner if things loosen up again. The dahon is a really zippy little bike .and solidly built!
